7 Days Mount Kilimanjaro Hiking Tour With Half-Day Game Drive in Arusha National Park

Drive: Transfer to Machame Gate for registration and start the trek. Trek: Hike through the lush rainforest, encountering tropical plants and wildlife, before reaching Machame Camp. Trek: Climb up to Lava Tower, an important acclimatization point, before descending to Barranco Camp. This day includes hiking through alpine desert terrain. Ascent: Gain 850 meters, then descend 700 meters over 6-7 hours. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided. Overnight: Barranco Camp (tented accommodation).

Trek: Start with a steep ascent up the Barranco Wall, then trek through undulating terrain to Karanga Camp. Excellent acclimatization day. Ascent: 135 meters over 4-5 hours. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided. Overnight: Karanga Camp (tented accommodation).

Trek: Continue the ascent to Barafu Camp, the final stop before your summit attempt. Spend the afternoon resting and preparing. Ascent: 605 meters over 4-5 hours. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided. Overnight: Barafu Camp (tented accommodation).

Summit Attempt: Begin your final ascent at midnight, trekking through scree to reach Stella Point and finally Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Uhuru Peak: Celebrate your achievement and take photos before descending back to Barafu Camp for a short rest. Descent: After the rest, descend further to Mweka Camp. Total Trek Time: 12-14 hours.
