This 6-day safari takes you through the heart of Serengeti National Park, where you’ll witness one of nature’s most spectacular events – the Great Wildebeest Migration. Depending on the time of year, you will either follow the herds as they calve in the southern plains, cross the Grumeti or Mara rivers in search of greener pastures, or move across the northern woodlands. Along the way, you’ll also experience the stunning wildlife diversity in Tarangire National Park and the world-renowned Ngorongoro Crater.
Drive: Depart from Arusha after breakfast and head to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2 hours). Morning Game Drive: Enjoy a final game drive in the Serengeti before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Drive to Ngorongoro: After lunch, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater rim for an overnight stay, enjoying stunning views of the crater. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided. Overnight: Lodge or tented camp on the crater rim.
Crater Tour: Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater’s floor is home to a dense concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, hippos, and the endangered black rhino. Drive to Arusha: After lunch, drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your safari. Meals: Breakfast and lunch provided. End of Tour: Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon.
