Itinerary
Drive: Depart from Arusha after breakfast and head to Tarangire National Park (approximately 2 hours). Game Drive: Explore Tarangire’s savannah, known for large elephant herds, towering baobab trees, and a rich variety of wildlife including lions, zebras, and over 550 bird species. Meals: Lunch and dinner provided. Overnight: Lodge or tented camp in Tarangire.
Drive: After breakfast, drive towards Serengeti National Park via the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands. Afternoon Game Drive: Once in the Serengeti, embark on an afternoon game drive, searching for wildebeest, zebras, and other wildlife as you follow the migration path. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided. Overnight: Lodge or tented camp in Serengeti.
Migration Viewing: Spend the entire day exploring Serengeti, focusing on the area where the migration is most prominent (based on the season). You'll have the chance to witness dramatic river crossings, calving, or large herds moving across the savannah. Wildlife: In addition to the migration, you may spot lions, cheetahs, leopards, and other predators. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided. Overnight: Lodge or tented camp in Serengeti.
Game Drive: Continue your exploration of the Serengeti, following the wildebeest and zebra herds. Depending on the season, you may see dramatic predator-prey interactions. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided. Overnight: Lodge or tented camp in Serengeti.
Morning Game Drive: Enjoy a final game drive in the Serengeti before heading to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Drive to Ngorongoro: After lunch, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater rim for an overnight stay, enjoying stunning views of the crater. Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided. Overnight: Lodge or tented camp on the crater rim.
Crater Tour: Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive. The crater’s floor is home to a dense concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, hippos, and the endangered black rhino. Drive to Arusha: After lunch, drive back to Arusha, marking the end of your safari. Meals: Breakfast and lunch provided. End of Tour: Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon.
