The Marangu Route, affectionately known as the “Coca-Cola Route,” is one of the most popular and well-established routes to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro. It is the only route offering hut accommodations, making it a comfortable option for climbers who prefer not to camp. With gentle gradients and a direct path, the route provides a moderate challenge and is ideal for first-time climbers. A 6-day itinerary is recommended for better acclimatization and a higher success rate. This route offers a rich diversity of landscapes, including rainforest, moorland, and alpine desert, culminating in the iconic summit of Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters.
