The Shira Route begins on the western side of Mount Kilimanjaro and is a more remote and less crowded option compared to other routes. It shares a large portion of the trail with the Lemosho Route but starts at a higher altitude, making it a bit more challenging for acclimatization. The route takes climbers through diverse landscapes, from dense rainforests to moorlands and high-altitude alpine zones. After conquering the summit of Uhuru Peak, you’ll enjoy a relaxing 2-day safari in Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara National Park.
